My name is Sergey, and I love dogs very, very, very much. I got my first dog in the 5th grade (1992) and it was a Kerry Blue Terrier. When we were choosing a breed, we didn’t bother much with what our friends had at an adequate price and with a pedigree (my mother wanted a pedigree), so we took it.

My friends had a boxer and a Belgian shepherd in their yard, and they also walked German and Western European shepherds. We took part in exhibitions, went to learn commands and walked a lot. Since then, dogs have not left my life. Now I have a Fox Terrier, my wife and two children. Choosing this breed, I read all kinds of articles for a very long time, compared breeds and was looking for a breed that would be perfect for me. I did not find a resource online that would answer my questions about different breeds of dogs – how they are trained, whether they like children, whether they are fast or slow, whether they eat a lot, what they will be like when they grow up, how much they will weigh, whether pedigree is important, and in fact many other questions. Now, when friends ask me for advice on choosing a dog breed, I look at several resources for characteristics and then I can advise them.
